Companies that Care

Companies that Care

So, I try to get things from companies that care, meaning those that donate proceeds to worthy causes and things like that. These are some of my favorites:

  • The Elephant Pants: very comfortable pants and other clothing. 10% of proceeds are donated to the African Wildlife Foundation to help prevent elephant poaching. They also sometimes do donations to help other animals (recently they've done a turtle box with the Sea Turtle Conservancy and currently have leopard print boxes, still to AWF but to help big cats). I love them so much that I'm a rep, and you can get 10% off with the code SIENNABRONSON10
  • Toms: Everyone's favorite one-for-one shoe brand. Buy one pair, donate another to someone who needs them. They also do sunglasses to donate sight-saving surgeries.
  • Sky Footwear: Another one-for-one organization. Buy one pair of socks, and they donate a pair to a homeless person who needs them. Socks are a seriously underappreciated thing.
  • Serengetee: Neat shirts that use fabrics from around the world, so they support artisans everywhere.
  • Sakroots: Accessories that come in different patterns. Each pattern donates to a different charity and is designed by a different artist.
  • Sand Cloud Towels: Really pretty towels, 10% of profits donated to save marine life
  • Beyond Beanie: Beanies, bags, ponchos, and bracelets to help children get things they need (meals, school supplies, school uniforms, and dental care, respectively) just by signing up for their newsletter, you'll donate 3 meals to a child in need!
  • Happy Earth Apparel: Clothing to spread awareness of environmental issues.
  • United By Blue Apparel: Ecologically responsible, durable clothing that's made to last, and for every article sold, they remove a pound of trash from the world's oceans and waterways.
*Note: I try to make sure that the companies featured on this page are fair-trade and reputable for actually doing what they say they do--that being said, it's easy for one person to miss something that another might notice. If you have reason to believe any of these companies has unethical practices, don't hesitate to let me know and I will look into it further.
